University of Maryland Commencement

They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns flowing and the traditional caps, they looked almost as grown up as they felt.

Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears

This class would NOT pray during the commencements, not by choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.

The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.

The speeches were nice, but they were routine until the final speech received a standing ovation.

A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened.

All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED !!!!

The student on stage simply looked at the audience and said,

And he walked off the stage...
The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval.

Out on a Walk

A Republican and a Democrat were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person.
The Republican gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his business for a job.
He then took twenty dollars out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.

The Democrat was very impressed, and when they came to another homeless person, he decided to help.
He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office.
He then reached into the Republican's pocket and got out twenty dollars. He kept $15 for administrative fees and gave the homeless person five.

The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or confusing.

Here are six Conundrums of Socialism in the United States of America :
1.    America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.
2.    Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.
3.    They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.
4.    Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5.    The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
6.    They have things that people in other countries only dream about, yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st Century.   Makes you wonder who is doing the math.

Government's purpose is to protect its citizens and keep borders secure.  Radical Islamic Terrorists are murdering people across many borders.  So, global warming, now called climate change,  is "our greatest threat."

And ISIS or ISIL is "contained."
This is no joking matter.

"We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion:
the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases,
while the citizens may act only by permission."

"I never understood why it is 'greed' to want to keep the money you earned,
but not greed to want to take somebody else's money."
- Thomas Sowell

"To be prepared for war is one of the most effectual means of preserving peace."
